will my win98 fan go in my windows XP home?

Hi , i am wondering if i could take a fan out of my windows 98 and put it into my Windows XP do you think it will fit and will it do anything to my pc once i started it up? please help thanx :tazz:

Hi. Yep, sure you could do that. Cooling fans are cooling fans...standard 12v. Make sur you have a power connector for it (inside of the new case, probably some connectors not being used). Just be sure to use a ground strap when working inside the case. This is due to risk of electro static discharge (static electricity). Computer components can die from such. Just curious why you want to take a fan out of once computer and put it in another, unless of course, the old Win98 one died?
