This is on a storage drive. Worked good then bam....nothing...chdsk can't touch it. Tried external usb...nothing...running test disk now but now running deep scan...any help?

running test disk

That would have been my suggestion. But it should be noted that even TestDisk claims it can only "help" and that is only when damage is due to "faulty software", "malware", or "human error". If the drive physically failed or was physically damaged, you are pretty much hosed and your only recourse is expensive forensic recovery - such as suggested by SpywareDr.

Hopefully, you have a viable backup so you are only out a drive, and not critical data.
