PC won't power on after shut down last night

Hey trusted g2g geniuses! I am so confused about what to do. The PC that my kids primarily use won't power on this morning. It was shut down last night, and everything seemed to be operational. We just recently removed Adware:Win32/GameVance in February. The topic can be found here:

This PC is used for school stuff and gaming for the most part. Currently, my eldest has been doing research for an important class project, and can now not access her research. Any help you could offer regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
