Hi,

My 500GB harddrive is partitioned as follows: I have Windows XP Pro on a 240GB NTFS partition labelled "C"; and I have 227GB that is "Unallocated".

My question is, how do I install BackTrack 4 and Linux Mint on the Unallocated partition? I've already burned the BT4 ISO to a bootable DVD and I'm downloading Linux Mint 10 as I write this.

The easiest way way would be to use a partitioning tool like parted Magic. It runs from a live CD or other boot media and can be used to set up your partitions for multi-boot systems or just a need to resize partitions.

Now Back Track is a penetration testing Distro that is usually run from live media. It's not really designed for installation. All the tools are available in most repositories and can be installed easily.
