alright i just got back from purchasing more ram, kingston, and it was on my compatibility list, but when i place it in i still get the same error code!

Did they also test your MB?

Can I ask where you acquired the MB and can it be returned, there is a strong possibility that
it is the MB that has the issue and it is possibly the BIOS chip.

they didnt test my mb, but i can return the stick i just bought, is the bios chip something i could replace or does that mean the board is junk?

i bought the mb from newegg.com, i dont have orignal packaging or reciept anymore, i didnt expect any of these problems

When you return the Ram have them test the MB, some MBs have removable BIOS chips but some are soldered in place that said a new MB that is bad should be returned.

How long ago, contact Newegg and see what they say, I use the Newegg website for reference quite often and the general opinion regarding returns appears good.
