I have a Dell Latitude D600 laptop and recently it has started beeping at me when I turn it on. What do I do?

If it's a single beep, that's normal.

1) If it's multiple beeps, is there a pattern? For example: short short long, short short long, etc.

2) Can you see anything on the screen?

3) Have you tried reseating the RAM?
