I posted this on Bleeping Computor a problem of getting videos to play with Windows Medea Player. Most of the time I can't get them to play, they start and stop, all chopped up.

Most of the videos I try to play are short items that are run on the news stations or the net.

I had two answers on Bleeping Computor, one was to download VLC Media Player which I've done, the question now is how do I get VLC Media Player to help my situation?, I'm still lost.
