Well Hello 8 hours later using my own brain its finally worn out on me :D

i have a wired xbox360 controller for windows(usb) i have played many games with it no problem but ive just started playing Fifa Online 2 and i play 1 game pretty much fine then when i try to play another it laggs really bad though if i log out and back in i can play 1 game like before lag free play another major lag

although this is an online game its not playing against another person its against the AI in "league mode"

EDIT: ive now tryed the same game with another gamepad not an xbox one and had the same lag.

so i tryed all the usual

checking drivers upto date
unistalling them reinstalling them
reinstalling the game
cleaning my pc
using "gamebooster" on my pc to clear background apps not needed etc

and proberly more that i just cant thiknk of right now.

anyway cut to the chase, for whatever reason i unplugged my gamepad and tryed to play with keyboard low and behold no lagg whatsoever over 2 hours of game play(about 15 games) so my gamepad is making the game lag? never heard of this one before and after searching high and wide ive yet to find a fix for this or even a reason for it.

Did you also try th game without the controller?

If you get no lag from step 1...
try to update the controller drivers
using device manager

sorry can't explain instructions right now I am busy right now
