I have my D-Link DI-634M connected to a swing and to my ADSL modem. This has worked fine for over 1 year. Lately my internet keeps dropping. I can still connect to the D-Link which says "acquiring connection". Usually the connection comes back in just a few seconds, however if it doesn't it can take several hours to come back. This is really hard to troubleshoot as I don't know if it's the modem losing the connection or the D-Link. So today it happened 3 times within an hour so I unplugged the router and plugged my computer directly into the cable modem. And then I didn't have any disconnections. I wouldn't mind running it like that but I have many people sharing my connection and they're all without internet so I'd like to get it fixed ASAP.

Any other way to troubleshoot this? I plan to leave my PC directly on the modem for 24 hours and see if I get disconnected. The D-Link disconnects at least once every 24 hours but it seems random as to how many times and when.

If it's the D-Link should I replace it with a new one? I hate to spend 100 euros on a new one only to have the same problem.
