don't get burned like I did - if you have any custom rules in AdWatch (which you will, if you run Mcafee and don't like daily blue windows) write them down before you upgrade.

Too bad the Lavasoft people aren't interested in making the Adwatch tool useful. For example - every blue window should have Accept, Block, and "Always Accept" - and it should be possible to backup the rules file....

sorry just venting 8-}

Does anyone actually find that AdWatch catches anything?

/j

(se-plus owner, but do I get any support from Lavasoft? Ha! 8-})

A good suggestion.

What problems are you actually having?

yeah right - I've sent various Ad-watch problems and suggestions to them but they never, ever, reply. After all, all I did was send them $$$ 8-}

Adaware is great, adwatch is adequate, lavasoft is, well, something else

I agree, Ad-aware and Ad-watch are great programs.

Are you having any problems?

:tazz:

No Lavasoft officals are here, so we can not help you in direct customer matters.

Not problems per se, but I have tried to get their attention as to the rules interface on adwatch - very hard to use, and because it doesn't let you specify the entire entry, you either get blue windows all the time (if you use mcafee) or open up vulnerability holes. nothing you can help with, I'm afraid

thanks

I wish you good luck with contacting Lavasoft.

Some prevention

To keep your computer safe
-Make sure you have all critical updates installed.
-To make sure that you have got a firewall running when your connected to the internet and Anti-virus software which has the latest updates.

Two great sites to check for good advice and top rated software are http://members.acces...ntomPhixer.html and http://www.spywareai...p?file=toprated
