Hey guys,

I work with a company that sells computers and loans computers to various people. Most of the people are great, however some will apply for a system, pay the first months fee's and then steal the system and leave town with it/send it away and we never see them again and have no chance of ever finding them. We send out monthly update discs with new content so is there anyway we can somehow set up some software that would kill these systems if they did not have an update disc used within the last x amount of months/days? Somehow locking the system from being used, and requiring a password or something to that effect to regain access.

Is there any software like this?

Or are there other ways of doing it?

Would be great to hear anything you have,

theres a link for you to try Posted Image

if the company makes enough money they can afford this neat little software
it uses wifi and/or gps (depends which version you get) to track down the stealer
according to the website it can help you track down the stolen police and states it works with police and investigation police
and it has a $1000 guarantee!

http://adeona.cs.washington.edu/
this site will also help you track down the computer too whenever connected to the internet
its free but who knows may come in handy

Obviously it cant lock the system or anything but it sure can track them down

Lojack for laptops and Computrace are two software packages that I know is used by customers that I support. Computrace may be more to your liking/needs.
