Command Prompt as Administrator

Vista/win7


1. Click Start button & type cmd in the box.
2. Press keys Ctrl+Shift+Enter
3. This should open command prompt with admin rights

I ran the checkdisk for the drive and it ended with something about 'error creating log'.

I can get my computer to see the drive, and I can open it, but it can only take a few hundred megabytes of video and then it stops, e.g it will only accept half of a 750mb film.

that sounds like hardware failure to me.
