Hi. I'am working on friends computer. It is IBM thinkpad. Not sure of anything right now cause can't get into computer. It has a blue screen that says: Stop: C000021A Fatal System Error The session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xC000026C (0X00000000 0X00000000). The system has been shut down. I have tried safe mode and last known good config but keeps going back to same blue screen and restarting. Can you tell me how to fix this problem.

Usually indicates device driver problems.
This behavior can occur when one or more of the following conditions exist:
There is a damaged device driver file on the hard disk.

You can try to repair the driver using the recovery console with the XP media center cd (if you have one)
http://www.windowsne...s/wxprcons.html

or do a repair reinstall(again using the XP media center cd) this reinstall does not erase any of your personal files.

If you do not have a cd but only a recovery partition these steps will not be accessible.
