just recently installed fedora 14 on a laptop. I wanted to install a plugin for java for firefox. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

download the linux rpm from the java.com website, then install it. do not use the repository package, it might be outdated. if the plugin is not installed automatically, then browse to the java folder, and symlink (do not copy or hardlink) the libjavaplugin file to the plugins folder in either the firefox directory (not recommended) or your firefox profile. finally restart firefox, and check the plugin by opening about:plugins.
