Hi All , new to this forum.

I bought a laptop second hand from someone leaving the country , i have had it well over 8 months and had no problem what so ever , until now i get a million pages of netintelligence saying i cant go on facebook it is blocked !! although i was only using it this morning !!
Ok so i had a look around to see if i could do this any of the ways you have said and NO ...i get a message saying "Winsock Protocol Providers cannot be disabled (only deletion is supported)"
As you may gather i have no activation/uninstall code and no idea where the laptop came from ,so i email netintelligence ,they want activation code.order number.date purchased etc .i have none of these PLEASE can someone help , I use facebook all the time to stay in contact with my family (as i live abroad)

thanks in advance

Welcome to Geeks2Go!

There is no way around this if you don't have the password which is required to change the configuration of Netintelligence, and it can't be uninstalled without the password either.

If you received any "recovery" discs with the laptop you can use them to put the original factory install of windows 7 back on the drive.
This will remove any software that wasn't installed at the factory, including Netintelligence.

Just a thought.
Being windows 7 it would be a newer laptop and might have a recovery partition on the drive.

I can not help with that because I am not familiar with win 7.

If you get the make and model of the laptop, then it can be researched for you.
Also, if you do need to go back to factory specs, I hope you have your data backed up.
