my computer keeps crashing from ntoskrnl.exe and i wasnt given a boot disk so i want to know if i had to send my labtop in because this seems to be a major problem with my labtop. It will randomly crash out of nowhere for no specific reason and when i go into safe mode it has system processor loader driver highlighted after the crash but it doesnt show up on the regular boot. please give me your response as this is becoming very frustrating

Please riun a chkdsk
Graphical Interface:

Open the Computer option from the start menu, which will display all of the drives available to scan on your PC:

Posted Image

Then, right click on the drive you wish to scan for errors and select Properties:

Posted Image

Now click the Tools menu, then Check Now under the error-checking section:

You have several options within the check disk tool. It is always recommended you leave the "automatically fix file system errors" box checked, as this repairs and problems found. If you want to perform a deeper scan, tick "scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors". This second option takes longer, but is worth doing if you suspect a drive problem. Once you are configured, click Start:

If you try to check a disk that is currently in use, you will receive a message asking if you wish to schedule a scan. Accepting this will perform the scan next time you restart your PC:

After chkdsk has completed please run a system file checker
To Run the SFC /SCANNOW Command in Windows 7 1. Open a elevated command prompt (right click -> Run as administrator).

2. To Scan and Repair System Files
NOTE: Scans the integrity of all protected system files and repairs the system files if needed. Please see red WARNING box at the top of this tutorial.A) In the elevated command prompt, type sfc /scannow and press Enter. (see screenshot below)
NOTE: This may take a little bit to finish.Posted Image

1. After you have done that please go to event viewer
Open the Start Menu, and type eventvwr.msc in the search box and press enter.
In the left pane of Event Viewer, double click on Windows Logs to expand it, then click on Application
The scroll on main window to Wininit
Open wininit and that will be the chkdsk results.
Please examine them and make sure there were no file errors found.

2. Security Software Norton Internet Security™ 2010 (60-day trial)11

That computer came with the above, do you still have this please - ie within the 60 day trial or what do you now have.

3. Go to this link check it has stayed on windows7 home premium 64 bit and check the drivers are the ones you have particularly the latest Lan and wireless drivers. I also see the camera drivers are a new issue.

1. Have you run the system file check pls.

2. Have you checked you have the latest drivers from the Gateway link - I apologise - the link was missing of my post it is NOW there.

3. Run that chkdsk again please as per my post 8, but this time checking BOTH boxes on the check for file errors and bad sectors.
