I am, as usual, obliged to you.
This was one aspect I noticed immediately.

Video Card: 3D ACCELERATOR CARD (with 16MB VRAM- with full OpenGL support

but I was not able to establish if the integrated graphics were.
I had not found those full requirements for the game but thought that may be the problem as I indicated here

Post details pls of the computer make and model if branded. - I need the full model details
If not branded, what is the motherboard if integrated graphics
OR the graphics card if not integrated.

"OpenGL Initialization Failure
That message indicates that either the game CANNOT run on those graphics OR a driver update for the graphics is required.

OK something new I have found that might help. Go HERE and then click on the Green button on the left side of the window.
Find the game you are trying to play in the list and see if your system is capable of running it.

your doing great work and I'm in no way questioning your abilities
I'm just throwing in my 2 cents worth
its not unusual for a laptop to stumble try to play games unless its a high end model

My apologies, my post came across wrongly.
I meant it to be read as
I AM OBLIGED TO YOU for confirming that I was on the right track, with the question of the graphics not being up to the game.
It was NEVER intended as saying - I have already stated that.
I in fact felt pleased that you had confirmed my suspicions.
Macboatmaster.
