Welcome rod <_<

Tapping the Delete (DEL) key immediately after starting your computer should enter BIOS setup.

Have these drives ever worked? Or, was anything changed before they stopped working?

Try "Standard CMOS Setup" in BIOS. There, find "Master Slave" and set it to "auto". Then go to "Drive A" and select the 1.44 MB 3.5 in. option.
