does anyone know what the problem is

ive got a pentium 4 3.2
1 gig of ram
80 gig hard drive
geforece 5700LE 256

i origonally had only 512mb in my computer so i decided to buy some more ram,
so i purchased another 512mb just because i like speed
it all works but somethings irritating me when look in my system information
the specs on my ram say,

total physical memory: 1,024.00mb
available physical memory: 649.68mb

what the [email protected] is my computer sharing it with it cant be the graphics cards
its got its own and it cant be the swap file can someone please explain?

My system uses 600MB of ram just starting up, so yours looks accurate

I have to agree with Keith.. I have 512megs installed and 233 available with nothing running..

Windows will use all that it can in order to reduce the pagefile/swapfile usage!!
