You will find what you want in the control panel under power schemes.

Go to start/control panel/ power schemes

I think the problem might be I have old copy of XP installed 2001 edition. Hibernate is not listed. Also in the shutdown box, standby is not highlighted as shutdown and restart are. Driver is 2001 in APCI box.

Push and hold the Windows key on keyboard. This is the one with the Microsft windows logo on it.
While holding Win key down click on the Pause\Break key

This should open the System properties window
On this window it will show

System info:

Microsoft Windows: type and version
Service Pack number

Registered Name
Register Number

Computer:
CPU type
Memory
I need all the above info in your next reply Except for Register name and number.
This is private and we don't need to know this information

Yes, I looked here before posting and decided over my head to find the problem. Motherboard says it supports it, my first computer 10+ years ago had sleep mode on keyboard, just hit the key and no problem. Can't fig out where is the fix. The top pics I posted was the Intel suppoert page for my D945GCNL motherboard, says it will hibernate?

I am adding my 2 cents worth of help. 123Runner is very capable of assisting but sometimes even the best of us have real life situations which stop us from responding back. I am here to help. Please let me know if the link helps you.
