I've been attempting to convert a set of MKV videos into avi, vob or dvd format so I can burn them onto DVD. The problem is when doing a straight conversion of the files as they are, English subtitles appear and cannot be removed; so I followed the instructions from this link:

link removed

where I untick the selection for subtitles and click the muxing button. The resulting video appears fine and subtitle-free, but when I then try and convert the video to another format, the convert comes out at just under 12 minutes long, when the original video is supposed to be 23 minutes long; the sound is also severely out of sync. I had successfully converted the 23min videos before using any video converter and it worked fine, but it was a long time ago and I don't understand what I am doing wrong this time.

Does anybody know what is going on and how I can fix this.

Any help would be much appreciated,
