Hey I bought a 50" inch plasma TV from best buy and I purchased the 2-years warrranty.

Well just today I put a crack on the screen not that big of a crack but I can't see anything the screen went black and i can only hear.

Does anyone know if Best Buy will cover this or are they going to try to act dumb about things and say they don't cover that when the sales person clearly said they it covered all of that kind of stuff??
I'm reading around and ppl have negative stuff to say about this situation.

Hi iAmXquistite,

Could depend on how the crack got there. If it was negligence on your part then it may not be covered.

What did you do to create the crack? Look over your Warranty to see if it explains in detail if it is covered under that type of damage. If not, call Best Buy and explain.

Good Luck!

Yeah they said it was caused on purpose and that they don't provide cover for things like that. Only if my pixels where messed up or if my sound stopped working stuff like that is what they do cover.

I didn't think they would. :D You don't have renters/homeowners insurance that may cover something like that do you? I know that TV had to cost big bucks!
