I have a Belkin wireless print server. It can't be reset to configure to the new network encryption, and therefore no longer works. We have Windows XP. How can this be fixed?

Hi Dorothy, welcome to Geeks to Go. Have you tried re-setting the Belkin device back to defaults and starting over? I have experience with a Belkin internet router (mine) and when it stopped working I dumped it back to defaults and re-configured it. Your manual should tell you how to do it. If you don't have a manual, try going to Belkins web page for the information.

Also, you might want to look for a firmware upgrade while you are at Belkin's web site. If you are having issues reconfiguring the print server, they may have a fix for that. Just curious, what happens when you try to reconfigure the print server?

Thanks. Restting doesn't work, and even tho there is a firmware update, I can't get into the printserver's web interface to upgrade it!
I think I'll call Belkin to tell them I'm going to return it to them for restting and upgrading, or to where I bought it (Comp USA) to their rep there, for refund or replacement.
Thanks again fo trying to help.

how did you reset?

There is likely a small button or a pin hole that you can depress a button inside the server with a paper clip.

Simply unplugging will not reset
