I received in my email box, the below email notice supposedly from Lavesoft. Is there a way to tell if this email is a valid one? Thanks for any help, Sam.

Dear Lavasoft Customer,

Lavasoft is delighted to announce the launch of Ad-Aware version 1.06.

Lavasoft is extensively known for delivering the most up-to-date antispyware technology to corporate and home users. In the launch of version 1.06, Lavasoft introduces a new extensive revision to the Threat Assessment Chart (TAC) which has been improved with a more fine grained technical analysis of the target criteria, which aids users to better understand why applications are detected by Ad-Aware.

With the 1.06 update you can be certain to receive the best protection available against disturbing privacy threats with faster scanning and more efficient Code Sequence Identification (CSI) capabilities in both Ad-Aware and Ad-Watch

To download the applicable Ad-Aware SE Edition you purchased, please visit the Lavasoft Customer Center at:

www.lavasoftcustomercenter.com

Please contact our sales department at [email protected] if you like to have further information on the Ad-Aware SE version 1.06.

With best regards,

The Lavasoft Team

It looks valid.
New build has been released, yes.
Have you subscriped to a Lavasoft newsletter, or are you an registered user of Ad-aware Pro or Plus?
If so, then the post should be trusted.

Thanks very much for your replies. Aboout four weeks ago, I received a supposed Lavasoft email and it turned out that it was most likely a false one. So I am a bit gun shy!!

Earlier this morning, I did go to the Lavasoft web site and confirmed the upgrade to version 1.06. I was just concerned if the email in question wsa valid or not. Have a good week, Sam.
