I seem to have some trojans that most of the spyware can't detect. The popups start about 5 minutes after startup, even when the browser isn't open. I've used Spybot, AdAware, Bazooka, CW Shredder, and TDS-3 and they all say I'm clean. The only one to detect anything is Housecall, but they can't clean the files.

Housecall detected:
Downloader.NZ
Reload.B
Magise.A (2 versions)
Ogom.A
Loader.C
Clicker.AD
Startpag.QY (3 versions)
Small.ND
Wintool.E

My HijackThis log is posted below, any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
Odd rkfiles didn't show all the files I wanted.
Let's find out afterwards.

* Download Killbox.
Unzip it and Click killbox.exe.
Select the option "Delete on reboot".

Now copy the next bold:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\AUNPS2.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\winup2date.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\wmconfig.cpl
C:\WINDOWS\drexinit.dll
C:\WINDOWS\del.tmp
C:\WINDOWS\ALL USERS\APPLICATION DATA\MSW\BMAN1.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\VVPKKU.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\EXSSVR32.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\ALL USERS\APPLICATION DATA\MSW\BMAN.EXE

Open 'file' in the killboxmenu on top and choose Paste from clipboard

Now you will see, this is pasted in the "Full Path of File to Delete"-field.
There's a little arrow (dropdown-arrow) next to that field.
If you expand it, these lines must be there together if the files are present!

Then press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it.
Killbox will tell you that all listed files will be deleted on next reboot.. Click YES
When it asks if you would like to Reboot now, click YES
If you get a "PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process!" message then just restart manually.

Your computer must reboot now.

* Please set your system to show all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

O1 - Hosts: 64.91.255.87 www.dcsresearch.com
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IPInSightLAN 02] "C:\PROGRAM FILES\VISUAL NETWORKS\VISUAL IP INSIGHT\SBC\IPClient.exe" -l
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AUNPS2] RUNDLL32 AUNPS2.DLL,_Run@16
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BMan] C:\WINDOWS\All Users\Application Data\msw\BMan1.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\vvpkku.exe reg_run
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Yahoo! Pager] 1
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [c2r9RWjmh] EXSSVR32.EXE
O4 - Startup: nnik.exe

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

* Using Windows Explorer, locate the following folder, and delete it:

C:\WINDOWS\ALL USERS\APPLICATION DATA\MSW

* Reboot.

Download FindQoologic.zip save it to your Desktop.
http://forums.net-in...=post&id=134981

Extract (unzip) the files inside into their own folder called FindQoologic.
Open the FindQoologic folder. Preferable to your desktop.
Locate and double-click the Find-Qoologic.bat file to run it.
Wait until a text opens.
Post this in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.

When I ran HJT, I couldn't find the file;
04-HKCU\..\Run [c2r9RWjmh] EXSSVR32.EXE

Also, it wouldn't allow me to delete "Startup:nnik.exe" saying that the file was in use. I ran HJT again and when I checked fix, I didn't get any error message, but as you can see its still there

My FindQoologic file 5-31-05

Good, now we can deal with the rest.

Start killbox again and choose: 'delete on reboot'
Copy next bold:

C:\WINDOWS\BBMNNDX.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\VVPKKU.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\startm~1\programs\startup\NNIK.EXE

In the menu on top in killbox, choose paste from clipboard
Killbox will tell you that all listed files will be deleted on next reboot.. Click YES
When it asks if you would like to Reboot now, click YES
When it doesn't ask you that second question, reboot manually.

After reboot:

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\vvpkku.exe reg_run
O4 - Startup: nnik.exe

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Reboot another time and post a new hijackthislog together with a new findqoologic-log. :tazz:

I see a clean log. :tazz:

To keep this clean in the future, I would suggest the following things:

Update your windows and visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

Install Spywareblaster
SpywareBlaster doesn`t scan and clean for so-called spyware, but prevents it from being installed in the first place. It blocks the popular spyware ActiveX controls, and also prevents the installation of any of them via a webpage.

Avoid illegal sites, because that's where most malware is present.

Let your antispywarescanner(s) scan frequently and don't forget to update before.

And I do suggest you perform an online virusscan once in a while. (Kaspersky online and/or Bitdefender). Because what one virusscanner can't find another one maybe can.
Also make sure that your virusscanner, the one that is installed on your system is always up to date!

Make sure your windows has the latest updates: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

More info on how to prevent malware you can also find here (By Tony Klein)

Happy surfing again! ;)

Hallelujah, I am healed. Now the water tastes sweeter, the air smells cleaner, and all is right with the world.

Thanks for your help, I knew I could rely on a fellow dog lover (We’re a German Shepherd family)
