My Desktop Wont Connect To My Router

Hi, Im currently in a pickle my laptop can connect to the internet fine thus how i'm writing this thread, but my computer/desktop is connected to my router through an Ethernet cable but it wont seem to connect to the internet!! yesterday it was working fine. Ive tried doing system restore's ive been talking to my ISP Talk Talk but they cant seem to find a fault in the line. please help me guys..

my operating system is windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, could i have a virus? or some sort of malware? i dunno but please help me ive got loads of work to be doing on my computer..

Never mind it works now all i did was do a system restore to a later date when i uninstalled my anti virus i know it was a stupid thing to do but i know that now dont i -.- hah thanks anyway tho guys :D <3
