I have Windows 7 Ultimate installed in laptop Acer 4530, AMD Turion x2, 2 gb RAM, 160 HDD, Nvidia Geforce 9100m G.

Since last month my windows 7 gadget has not appeared correctly. Whenever I double click one gadget (e.g clock gadget), it won't appear as the way it should be. In fact it shows a strange icon (usually black icon with line or dots). I already tried to uninstalled & reinstalled the Windows gadget (even in safe mode) but to no avail. Also I uninstalled one single gadget in the Windows gadget & reinstalled it, the result is the same.

What seems to be the problem here?

Please help with this. Thanks.

Welcome to Geeks2Go!

Have you tried disabling the sidebar, rebooting, then enabling it again?

Also, if it's a third-party gadget (ie not a Microsoft one) check too see if there's a newer version of it.

Thanks for the quick reply, phillipcorcoran

I already disabled the sidebar previously & reenabled it but nothing changed to normal and I have deleted all third party gadgets contained in it so Microsoft gadgets are all left. and the result is still like before (incorrect display).

Regards,
