Hi, im running Windows 7 Ultimate. I installed the Windows 7 service pack 1 today and was greeted by it freezing on a registry whilst installing on boot, having no other option I restarted and system recovery took its course, however whilst doing a system restore (not sure if it was as it said attempting repair rather than a progress bar of system restore) it then froze and I had to restart this again.

I used the f8 recovery menu after attempting to use system restore however when choosing the restore option it says "This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to Repair" yet this is the CD I used to install Windows 7. I do not know where to go from here, the system image option shows no images however I do not know if this is a different option to restore. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
