If you suspect your system may have a malware issue I suggest you check out the self help guide at the malware forum http://www.geekstogo...cleaning-guide/ if after following the guide you believe your system may still be infected and you have not received a reply from a Malware Tech post a link to your OP identifying it as [Malware] @
http://www.geekstogo...e-waiting-room/ and someone will be along to help you.
Once you get the all clear from the malware guys if the issue is not resolved return here and someone will assist you.

Well, it's good to know you are only a "Tech Apprentice" as that is a terribly inaccurate response. The issue he is having causes the PC to freeze on the boot screen, and therefor cannot boot. So to be able to log in and remove the malware is obviously impossible. Don't quit your day job.
I am currently working on a computer with the same issue, and when I fix it I will get back to you with a solution, OP. I just wished to correct this automated and idiotic response.

Well it took me all of 30 seconds to find a proper solution. Upon startup, hold down the f8 key. It will bring you up to a screen asking you if you wish to continue with a system resume, or to delete the data and continue with startup. Choose that second option, and you will be able to log in to your computer. Unfortunately, fixing the issue that caused the corrupted system resume is going to be a whole new issue you will have to assess.
