Hello,

My HP omnibook 6150 running Win ME refuses to boot: when pressing the on/off button, it turns on (fan starts) but nothing appears, not even the first black screen with the white "Hellwett Packard" caption.

I thus think the BIOS was hit even though I don't see why...

Any chance to solve this, at least once to get access to my data? I can open the CD drive, so maybe a "BIOS CD" could help?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi vincent, welcome to Geeks to Go! :D

My best guess would be a power supply, but it could be a battery problem, motherboard, hard drive, or many other hardware related problems. Laptops aren't very user serviceable, we usually recommend bringing them to an authorized repair center. <_<
