want to install linux..bios problems.

heylo,
im wanting to install linux on my old laptop, but when i try to change the bios settings to boot from disc, it asks me to install the bios settings disc.

problem!
i dont have one.

any ideas?

Maybe you can download an image(of the disk) from the manufacturer of your machine?
