Ubuntu alsamixer problem

Hello everyone!
I have a problem with alsamixer on Ubuntu. Alsamixer dont recognize my headphones.
Can you help me?

Have you tried the builtin volume control?

do you mean the headphones themselves ?

if you do then they won't - but you can still use them via the output jack and use your sound preferences to adjust the volume

You must use Sound Preferences to change the volume, since Ubuntu uses PulseAudio but alsamixer controls dmix; it cannot control Pulse.

Ahh the dreaded Alsa mixer problem. The best solution is just using the trouble shooting page on the Ubuntu site.
