Windows 7 startup screen

Greetings,
When I start up my new computer (windows 7)I get this screen/window: Computer>Local Disk©: Program Files, which I then close. The above copyright mark is supposed to be a C in parentheses, it changes to copyright mark! How do I change this so my start up screen is my desktop?
