Can you see your wireless network and those around you? Has wireless ever worked for you under Ubuntu 10.10?

Try booting for the 10.10 CD and see if it works.

Open a terminal and run these commands exactly, press Enter after each line:
lspci -vnn > report
iwconfig >> wlreport
iwlist wlan0 scan >> wlreport
nautilus wlreport
A Nautilus window will appear, with a file named "wlreport" in it. Please copy and post the log here.
