Given a table with a row with cells such as
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
how do I get a string of text 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9?

I have tried Table/Convert but find that the Table to Text option is shaded inactive. Why is that?

Thanks.

Did you highlight the row in the table before selecting Table > Convert?

Vino Rosso: That did it. Thanks. I think I've got it now.
