the programme for video if i have it correct is directx or am i completely wrong??.. an yes when the video card seems to crash the keyboard takes a while to become responsive.... (in addition just recently on some webpages it says plugin crashed)..

in relation to the startup... the only programme out of those i generally use is yahoo messenger the others i do not....

really thanks for your help again

First of all 1GB of RAM is for Windows 7 really minimum of minimum. Then you have integrated GPU which share that memory and you ended up with only less then 900MB of it. I really recommend you to upgrade RAM to at least 2GB altogether.

For video try Media Player Classic.

Also uninstall programs you no longer need.
