For some reason, recently the fans have been very loud.... the computer fan makes a lot more noise now though the past two days

When I asked about PC behavior, I meant the virus problems that you indicated in you first post This forum deal mainly with virus and spyware problems. Generally it is recommended to keep drivers updated as well as Antivirus and Antispyware. I am sure the fan noise is coincidental with your virus problem. When we are finished cleaning up our tools and I announce All Clean you should post your fan problem in this forum http://www.geekstogo...d-peripherals/. Have you tried a scan with Symantec recently, if so what were the results please?
