HDD: Western Digital 500 GB Caviar Black SATA 3 Gb/s 7200 RPM 32 MB Cache -- $64.89
CPU fan: Cooler Master hyperfan 212 plus -- $29.51
Optical Drive: Lite-On LightScribe 24X SATA DVD+/-RW Dual Layer Drive -- $25.99
OS: Windows 7 x64 Home Premium -- $96.99


I bought an Intel x25-v 40gb ssd on craigslist for $50 also.
Also I didn't include the monitor, keyboard, mouse, mousepad, and wireless adapter, which cost around $200

Altogether the whole system cost me from $1,150 to $1,200 :)
