I have used Avira for a couple of years with no problems. Three weeks ago it stopped updating both automatically and manually.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing several times.
IT WILL STILL NOT UPDATE!

I even deleted and installed the recommended Microsoft anti-virus thingy recommended on here.

When I switched my PC back on it had switched itself off with the error code :ox800106ba

I deleted it and uploaded Avira again but it STILL will not update!

Any solutions please!

Hi pyottr,

What OS is installed?

Try this:

Go to:
Start > control panel > administrative tools > services > scroll to windows defender > right click > select properties.

Search for Start Type and click on drop down arrow to right and choose Automatic if not selected > apply > ok.

Let me know if that helps.

Donna :)
