After acquiring a virus/worm/spyware, I cannot print anything. Running the Network Troubleshooter takes me to Network Connections and an Antivirus dialog box saying I have a malicious script in C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\HelpCtr.exe. I ran SpyBox and Ad Aware, which did not help. My LAN says I am connected. I have rebooted many times, and turned the printers off and on. Can someone please help me? I have no idea what to do, short of uninstalling all programs and reinstalling.

Dear Admin.

I fixed the files you listed, rebooted in safe mode, and the two files were not there. I had high hopes, but unfortunately I still cannot print. I have deleted and reinstalled my printers, and checked to make sure the properties are correct. Now I cannot even start the printer troubleshooter.

Do you have any other suggestion?

Dear Admin,

I just spent three hours on the phone with a Microsoft techie, originally due to a problem I was having with a Windows update. He looked into many things, but it turns out that the correct IP address for my printers was somehow lost in my computer. When we got the correct addresses from another computer in our network, and added the printers again, creating new ports, all is now fine. I can print for the first time in over a week.

Thanks for your help. Fixing the toolbar files left over from the spyware was obviously important.
