I'm using Windows XP Home edition. I've checked in the Add/Remove programs but SP2 isn't listed in there. Could it be in Safemode? Or was it already built in the OS? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks a milliion!

Put a tick in show updates in add / remove

When you remove SP2 you will get advised twice of programmes which will not run, so note these and install the latest drivers

Removing SP2 ruins a PC so avoid it if possible.

What makes you feel your PC would be better without SP2

WELL! I just want to check and see if SP2 is really the problem that cause my PC not able to access File Sharing from the other PC after i've tried everything [(disable all firewalls, enmable File Sharing and permission for everyone, use simple file sharing (by default in XP Home)]. 2 PCs uses Windows XP home edition and access to file sharing only go One-way and not the other.

Anyway, I'll let you know once i get the result. Thank you very much for your help

Yes they are in the same workgroup. And strange thing is that they can ping each others; However traffic goes only 1 way which makes me want to pull my hair out.....
