Hi there,

I recently posted on your forum because the hard drive for my old computer stopped working. I plugged the hard drive into another desktop and it seemed to recognize it, therefore I copied the files I needed to a portable hard drive I had; as the title suggests, I copied some of my word documents over which contain chinese characters.

The problem is that when I open the files I copied from my old hard drive, none of the characters show up, i.e there is a blank page, however Microsoft Word does recognize that there are, for example, 20,345 characters in my word document (I'm guessing the chinese characters are still there in some shape or form?).

These documents are quite important to me, and I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me recover these invisible characters.

Thanks!
