When my monitor has been in powersaver mode or if I wake it up from the screen saver, it displays for a second then goes black again. The power light remains on. If I turn the monitor off and back on, sometimes it works, sometimes it repeats the problem. Once I get it to stay on, it will work fine for hours. I do not have another computer I can hook it up to. I have checked the connections and they seem to be solid. Any suggestions?

Then I recommend you borrow a monitor to hook up to your computer.
