installing winXP on win7 pc

i want to install win xp on my machine which already has win7 installed in it. i already know about vmware. but i want to use win xp at its full capacity but still retain the win7 for future use. how do i do this? are there steps in doing this? i dont want to corrupt my win7 software which is already installed.


additional info: win7 home edition 64bit, installing winxp 32bit
