Any help would be appreciated.

PROBLEM:
I cannot browse to this web page, www.cdcovers.cc

What I have tried:
Disabling firewall, disabling, Antivirus (norton,both)
Disabling any type of ad-blocking or pop-up blocking software
Went through router/bypassed router {cfl.rr is my isp}
reset tcp/ip
flushed dns
tried Firefox,IE, and Opera All same results, blank screen; or this page cannot be displayed.
used hosts file, removed hosts file.
Used server, used main computer, used PDA---all same result.
When on friends dial-up with AOL, the web page loads fine.
No issue with any other web pages.
Can ping www.cdcovers.cc
cannot browse to by IP or URL.

ANY help??? Please :tazz:

hey there, i feel your frustration. i am dealing with the same issue, only with a different website. i will let you know if i hear of anything to resolve it.

i talked with a comp. tech earlier, and he stated to clear out cookies and internet files. this did not help me. i tried the website you stated, and it worked fine on my comp.

sorry, i hope you find a solution soon, please let me know if you do.

My issue is due to IP routing incorrectly with my ISP. There is nothing that can be done. The workaround I am using is to go thru a public proxy.

Hi, One question,
What exactly do you mean by "nothing that can be done"?

That it'll probably never work and you can't browse the site or something else ...
Trying to be hopeful here, because I’m having the Exact same problem as the both of you, expect a different site which I’ve been using for years now, and I’ve done basically everything that you've listed and come up empty also. :tazz:

Basically the IP address of the site has changed. Now it goes to various DNS servers to get updated with this site's new IP address. Eventually this will happen...days, weeks; ya never know. It's no big deal for ISP's cuz its just one site, and just the way it is. After a few weeks i expect i will be able to get to that site the regular way instead of using a proxy.

You can try going to http://www.tracert.com/resolver.html and get the ip of the site from there, and try going to http://x.x.x.x whatever it gives you

All I can say is...wow, and thank you! This thread started out sounding exactly like my problem five minutes ago. I was doing everything that logan312 was doing, e.i.
disabling firewalls, virus protections, even tried a different browser...and no progress.

The minute i read your reply, i went to the website. Low and behold, I have Google again!!!

Thank you soooooo much asdff!!

Ahh, I see. Alright, I guess waiting a few more weeks won't hurt (coming up to a month now)

I also went to the site that asdff mentioned, and came up empty again. :tazz:

I guess waiting looks like the best, and only option at this time.

Thanks for all the info. though.

Go to that site and there will be a box to put stuff in, put the address of the site there, and it will give you numbers, and you goto http://x.x.x.x replaces the x with the numbers it gives

Now I can't tell you for sure for sure, that this was how asdff would have done it , but with his post i gathered what i could and it worked.....
i'll was having trouble with going to google, so i'll just use that as my example...
i went to:http://www.tracert.com/resolver.html and on that first page that opens up there is a little box, with a button next to it saying "resolve". All i typed in the box was:
www.google.com

click resolve and it will take you to a page where at the very top it says:

Results: www.google.com > 64.233.161.147

just copy and paste the ip address and of course don't forget the http://, and thats it.

p.s.when you type the web address in the box, i found it worked better without the http:// or the last / at the end.

once again credit goes to asdff! thanx again :tazz:

i'm having this same problem with a bunch of websites. funny thing is, it seems to happen more frequently with websites that i try to link to from a google search. it's like i'm getting permenantly blocked from sites somehow. i've tried mozilla firefox, netscape, which now crashes every time i try to open it, and good ole IE. nothing works.

i've also tried all the above including the http://www.tracert.com/resolver.html and get a connection time out every time.

this is ridiculous! :tazz:

very frustrating i know, for the past week i've been doing the same thing.
now you said that you tried firefox and opera right? ( they crashed on me too). Anyways try, now i know this sounds like alot of work ...and it is, but i might work for you:
- go to your Internet Options
-clean out all your cache, and all your temp files
-clean out your history and delete all the cookies & clear SSL state
-when your done with that, go to the Advanced tab , scroll down and make sure that you have the HTTP://1.1 w/ proxy connections box checked( if you have any kind of firewall or proxy that you connect through.
-scroll a little more make sure Use SSL 2 , SSL3 , and TSL 1 are all checked.
- then try to resolve the dns http://www.tracert.com/resolver.html
then see if that works
