I like this intel build, since I am in hawaii shipping is expensive but even so the total comes to about $920 which is $80 cheaper than the previous build. Also could I go with the case that I wanted? The RAIDMAX one: http://www.newegg.co...k=RAIDMAX AZTEC

It would save me 20 dollars and it looks nice :)
But I think I will stick with this intel build instead of AMD but I will have to check things out. I have not ordered parts yet as I have been busy, if it is no trouble, would you be willing to list the AMD build? THanks for everything.

Yes. Just keep an eye on the temps for a couple of weeks. If they do tend t be on the high side you could install an extra fan.

For an AMD build you will only have to change the Motherboard and CPU.

the CPU will give you slightly less overall performance but should make no difference to gaming.

The Mobe will give you better options for upgrade than the Intel one.

More RAM.
A second video card as there are 2 PCI-E slots.
Support for the new AMD Bulldozer CPU.

i added up the AMD build and let me just say THANK YOU!!!!!!! 830 DOLLARS GRAND-TOTAL!!! That AMD processor is great and I am glad I get to keep my video card (its really kick [bleep]). When does the new bulldozer series come out and is it worth it to wait? If so then let me know but if not, I will most likely be getting this AMD build.

Also how would I check the temperature of my computer? Im not sure how to do that. Also, do they sell 6gb (2x 3gb) of ram? It would be great to get with the savings on this computer. Thanks for all your help.

When does the new bulldozer series come out and is it worth it to wait?

Probably not for another 3 months and the prices will be at the highest to begin with. Your build will do you for at least a couple of years. Then maybe you might only want to upgrade the video card or maybe get a faster HDD.

Also how would I check the temperature of my computer?

You will be abler to check temps and fans through software that comes with the Motherboard or directly via the BIOS.

Also, do they sell 6gb (2x 3gb) of ram?

No.

If you want to start off with more RAM change to the one I have selected below.

This will give you 8GB, (2 sticks x 4GB). If you every decide to work with Photoshop or CAD you would still have room to add another 8GB.

For this computer and gaming it would be wasteful to add more than 8GB.

Gaming memory is really mostly marketing talk, in every day use you would not be able to tell the difference, like saying ultra black instead of black.

High performance RAM usually has heat spreaders, fancy colours and would perform a little better when overclocked.

The RAM you have in your shopping cart is only 4GB, (which is perfectly OK) but you had asked me about installing more RAM and I gave a link to this 8gb.

Which ever way you decide to go is OK and will work.

So looks like you are ready to bite the bullet.

Let us know how you get on and would appreciate how you think the build performs.

Newegg is not letting me order the parts. Every time i come to the last page of the order process where i enter credit card and that stuff, I click submit but nothing happens. I have tried it a few times. I have also tried it on internet explorer (i normally use google chrome) but the same thing pops up when I click login or checkout. This is what comes up:

I got the parts ordered :) And I am building it as I type! Everything is totally great, and I am so excited to get it running. Only thing is I somehow did not order the disk drive so i will need to get that to get my computer up and running. The case is magnificent and everything is so cool and new looking. I am ordering the disk drive and some extra ram today and I will let you know how it works

If by disk drive you mean the hard drive, then no problems - you can get the computer up and running regardless. Once it is running you will want to run some diagnostics anyway to make sure everything is error-free, so boot up a Memtest CD and let it run overnight.

Or in actual fact, if it is the DVD drive that you haven't got yet, then you are able to run Memtest off a USB stick. So you have no excuse either way, computer built and running diagnostics straight away! :)

I built the computer and got a disk drive (optical drive) to install all the drivers and windows 7. I hooked up all the power and stuff and it started out great. Real quiet and the LED Lights are really cool. My biggest problem is that nothing showed up on my monitor when I booted it up. Called my cousin who helped me build it and he said to install the graphics card drivers or Motherboard drivers to see if that helped, it did not. Was really siked to get my computer running today but looks like I will need to fix something. I made sure that everything was running fine, and it was. I know my monitor(s) work because I am using them now on another computer, I checked to see if the graphics cards was properly installed, I checked a lot of stuff! I have no idea why nothing shows up on the monitor but I hope you guys can help me. I think I will make a entire new thread as this one is getting quite large. I will post the link to it.
