i am looking to kill some summer school time off and i am looking for recent pc books of either Xp system or windows vista or windows 7. Any suggestion of which would point me in the right direction and which ones are more helpful. Thx.

Hi Tarzan -
Personally I would research each one , one at a time -
Google , new XP research books, then progress on one at a time as each system will not be the same -
Learn one O / S at a time and when you understand each one , only then move on to the next -

Windows XP For Dummies, 2nd Edition...
Windows 7 for Dummies
they are less then $15.00...well written and easy to understand
you can also find them wherever computers and supplies are sold plus bookstores
