To be honest, I think I might have done something wrong with making the boot CD. I tried to boot from it and all I got was a black screen, and then Windows automatically started. I checked to make sure the CD drive was first in the boot order, too.

I tried your directions in Windows and got the error message: "Error 1117: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."

I'll try making another boot CD. Is there anything else I should do in the meantime?
