Important notice for users of Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2): The support for your product ended July 13, 2010! To ensure that you will receive all important security updates for Windows you need to upgrade to Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (SP3) or later versions such as Windows 7.

This is taken from the MS website, SP 2 is no longer supported so it will slowly become less secure. SP3 has been out now for several years and I should imagine all the bugs have been ironed out. Any assistance you may need when you install it then just shout :)

Ok...sounds good...I do have a question: I currently have 2 external back up drives...(1) Maxtor one touch - I use for quick backup of important work files (2) A second large hard drive that is used to backup everything on my main internal hard drive - Using Casper 6.0 to back up everthing....QUESTION: What concerns are there? How do I put SP3 on all three drives..or do I even need to be concerned?

The backup drive will automatically update next time you do the backup

And the other should not need an operating system to run, so no need there
