XP Antispyware 2012 -- please help!

Hello,

I'm new to the forum, but I'm attempting to follow the malware removal process described in the cleaning guide.

I have the fake anti virus called XP Antispyware 2012 popping up mercilessly on my computer. I'm running Windows XP, SP3. I have booted into safe mode with networking and attempted to run malwarebytes. I cannot open any program or executable other than firefox. I downloaded OTL, but am unable to run it as it is blocked by the fake anti virus.

Please give help me in any way possible!
